History
New Okhla Industrial Development Authority or NOIDA is a part
of the state of Uttar Pradesh. Noida, an integrated industrial
city with ample facilities is considered to be one of the
most modernized cities of Uttar Pradesh and India to be precise.
Noida is a part of National Capital Region (NCR)
and it came into existence on 19th April, 1976. It was developed
near Delhi in the 1970s as a modern industrial city under
the UP Industrial Area Development Act, 1976. Noida has a
separate administrative zone and functions as a separate district.
Spread across 203.16 km², 50% of its half a million
population daily commute to Delhi,
solely for the purpose of work. The famous Delhi-Noida-Delhi
(DND) Flyway connecting NOIDA with Delhi runs across the
river Yamuna and receives a good patronage from office-goers
in the city making communication easier.
In the entertainment sector, Noida with its green locales
is also famous for its Film city. Due to the popularity
of this beautiful city, an adjacent township - Greater NOIDA
has been developed on the outskirts of NOIDA to cater to
the phenomenal influx of population into this region.

Noida Film City
The 100 acre Noida
Film City, has been a host to a number of shootings for
various feature films; both for the mainstream Hindi cinema
and for a large number of regional films. It is presently
the hub of all major news channels and famous studios. It
caters to the demands of the shooting and production of
a large number of television serials, news and other entertainment
cum education programs for various channels. Noida Film
City is also house to prominent Media company like T-Series,
Network 18, CNN IBN and other. The Film City is also a gateway
to Noida's twin city Greater Noida.
Entertainment City
Noida is set to emerge as the entertainment hotspot of the
country with opening of India's largest theme-based amusement
park - Entertainment City, also called World of Wonder -
developed by Unitech Limited. Spread over an area of 145
acres, the 1200 crore park is coming up in Sector 38A. A
mix use development consisting of multiple theme parks (both
wet and dry), retail complexes and a 5-Star Hotel in strategic
location, right opposite sector 18 and Centrestage Mall.
