Unitech is eyeing the southern real estate market and has begun a brand building exercise in Chennai. Some announcements on investments in this region may be forthcoming soon.
Infospace, a world class IT and Technology Park has been planned on a grand scale, over an area of 28.41 acres on the Old Delhi-Palam Highway, Gurgaon. It could turn out to be the best IT address for IT and ITeS companies till date. It will be equipped with Last mile connectivity through optic fibres. Incidentally, Infospace, Gurgaon is also a proposed SEZ and has got an in principle approval for the same.
It is expected that Unitech will be a significant beneficiary of the ~16bn sq. ft of residential, commercial and retail development expected to be undertaken in the Indian real estate market by 2010.
