Hitech
City of India
Hyderabad has become one of the most happening
places in the country with the arrival of world class educational
institutions, expansion of R&D facilities by companies
like Oracle, establishment of call centers by global corporations
such as GE and the success of Indian companies like Satyam.
With the initiative of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, both
Indian and MNC IT giants are willing to invest
in Hyderabad as the government assures proper infrastructure
and security. This city is home to about 700 companies and
in addition to the security provided by police, these companies
have their own security set-up, which they claim is foolproof.
Companies operating from the ‘Hitech
City’ are now giving big hikes to employees and are
also planning to hire more people. Infosys has announced that
it will hire 20,000 software professional for its Hyderabad
campus over the next 10 years and Satyam too is planning bulk
recruitment. Several MNCs have opened their base in Hyderabad
and both Indian and global companies are changing from smaller
operation to big operations.
